First Lady Oluremi Tinubu and the Sultan of Sokoto
First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu has expressed appreciation to the Sultan of Sokoto, His Eminence Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar for his continued support and constant guidance to the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu since inception.
Senator Tinubu was speaking at the palace of the Sultan during her visit to the monarch in Sokoto.
The First Lady, who went nostalgic about the long years of relationship between the two families noted that the Sultan is always pointing the administration in the right direction.
Senator Oluremi Tinubu explained that the visit was to thank the Sultan.
In his remarks, the Sultan of Sokoto His Eminence, Alhaji Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar stated that as leaders, there is a need to keep seeking divine intervention especially for those group of people who have been perpetrating evil in the land.
He said that his prayer is that those people would come to true repentance and live appropriately.
The Sultan then commended the First Lady for her various interventions through the Renewed Hope Initiative, RHI which he noted has touched the lives of millions of Nigerians.
Sokoto State Governor Dr Ahmad Aliyu Sokoto thanked Senator Oluremi Tinubu for the visit to the revered monarch, reechoing the impact of the RHI in the lives of Nigerians.
He described the various interventions as people centered, aimed at improving the lives of women, youth, children and families in general.
The Sultan of Sokoto then asked Ulama’s to lead prayers for the Nation, the President, the First Lady, the State Governor, himself and Sokoto State as a whole.
