President of the Senate, Senator Ahmad Lawan on Tuesday welcomed the Chief Whip, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, back to the hallowed Chamber.
Kalu represents Abia North senatorial District on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The former Abia State governor has, however, not been in the Senate to particulate in legislative matters since December 2019.
He resumed today following the Supreme Court judgment on May 8, 2020 nullifying his earlier conviction by a Federal High Court over alleged misappropriation of funds belonging to Abia state.
Welcoming him, Lawan said, “Welcome back our one and only Chief Whip. We are very grateful to God for being back.”
