Cape Verde goalkeeper Vozinha delivered a standout performance against Spain on Monday, making seven saves in a spirited display at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The veteran shot-stopper was called into action repeatedly as Spain dominated possession and created chances, but Vozinha stood firm to keep the Europeans at bay.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the 40-year-old had made seven saves during the Group H encounter, underlining just how influential he was for the African side.
Several of his stops drew applause from fans inside the stadium as Cape Verde battled one of the tournament favourites.
Vozinha, who captains the Cape Verde national team, was one of the standout performers on the pitch, frustrating Spain’s attackers and helping his side remain competitive throughout the contest.
