ARMSTRONG ALLAHMAGANI, Bauchi –
Commissioner for local government affairs in Bauchi state, Hon. Abdulrazak Nuhu Zaki, has expressed optimism that the Edo state governorship election will be won by the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
He stated this view in an interview with journalists during the PDP state Congress at the Multi-purpose Indoor Sports Hall, Bauchi on Saturday.
The Commissioner said the “damage” done by the former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Adams Oshiomole, has given the PDP the edge to win the election.
He said: “Insha Allahu, PDP will win the election in Edo state. We are confident because of the irresponsibility of the former National Chairman of the APC.
“His attitude has completely rubbished the APC in the entire nation not only in Edo state alone.”
Zaki, a former Member of the House of Representatives said that despite fears being expressed by many that the APC led federal government may influence the outcome of the election, he insisted that his party will still win the election.
He said: “We are not afraid of the federal government’s ability to influence the outcome of the election.
“It is just a matter of time, when the time comes, you’ll see.”
