Chelsea have now gone five straight league games without a goal, their worst run in 114 years.
The latest defeat came Tuesday night, a 3-0 loss to Brighton & Hove Albion at the Amex.
Brighton were ahead early through Ferdi Kadioglu in the 4th minute and stayed in control for most of the game. Jack Hinshelwood made it two in the 38th minute, and Danny Welbeck added a third in the 72nd to put it beyond reach.
Chelsea never really got going. They saw a bit of the ball at times but didn’t do much with it, and once again, no goal.
It’s now five defeats on the bounce in the league, all without scoring.
Fabrizio Romano highlighted the stat after the game, as questions continue to grow around the team’s form.
Chelsea will need to find a way out of this run quickly, because right now, it’s just not coming together.
