
Emir of Ilorin, Dr. Ibrahim Sulu Gambari

The Oba of Jebba in Moro LGA of Kwara State, Abdulkadir Adebara alongside the Serikin Hausawa of the town, Yusuf Gwadabe has filed a case before Justice E.B. Mohammad, praying the court to restrain the Emir of Ilorin, Dr. Ibrahim Sulu Gambari from turbaning the first defendant in the suit, Nasir Iliyasu as the Serikin Hausawa of Jebba.
Presenting his case before the court, Adekunle Bamidele who stood in for the applicants, said the first applicant is the recognized Serikin Hausawa of Jebba since 2017 and a letter of recognition acknowledging him as the titleholder was issued to him and signed by one Kinrinjin Adebara for the then Chairman of Moro LGA.
Bamidele prayed the court on behalf of the applicants to restrain The Emir of Ilorin from turbaning the first defendant, Nasir Iliyasu as the Serikin Hausawa of Jebba in Ilorin the state capital on July 2, 2021.
Justice E.B. Mohammad, however, did not grant the injunction on the ground that the applicants delayed in filing the suit and subsequently adjourned proceedings till 28 July 2021 when the two defendants would have been served and be represented in court.
