The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Tuesday announced that it has registered 146 new cases of Coronavirus (COVID-19), bringing the total number of infections in the country to 169,678 confirmed cases.
As at Monday, 19 July, 2021, the public health agency recorded one COVID-19-related deaths, leaving the total fatalities in Nigeria to 2,128 deaths.
The NCDC made this know in an update via its official website, https://www.ncdc.gov.ng, noting that the 146 new cases were reported from 8 states, including: – Lagos (134), Ondo(3), Cross River (2), FCT (2), Kwara (2), Ogun (1), Oyo (1), and Rivers (1)
It added that with the new cases, the total number of confirmed infections since the outbreak of the pandemic in the country had risen to 169,678 confirmed cases, out of which 164,720 Covid-19 patients have been discharged.
The NCDC further noted that there were now 2,830 active cases across the country in the last 24 hours and it has so far carried out sample test on 2,401,894 persons since the outbreak of the pandemic, last year.
