A Sure Path to Become a Software Developer

The role of mentorship or expert coaching is invaluable when it comes to skill development. Mentorship is an approach of training and developing people, where more experienced person (mentor) shares his/her understanding and experience with less experienced person (mentee).

For instance,

Mark Zuckerberg (Co-founder of Facebook) was a product of Mentorship:

Mark Zuckerberg’s father, Edward, was an entrepreneur. He maintained a dental clinic at the family’s residence.

Computer programming was a hobby for Mark Zuckerberg. When he turned six, his father taught him Atari BASIC Programming.

As Mark Zuckerberg became more interested in programming, he became very proficient. Within four to six years, Mark created ZuckNet, a chat network for his father’s dental clinic and the rest of his family.

Mark’s family thought that he could develop much further and hence hired a software developer-teacher, David Newman. During this high school period, he enhanced his programming skills significantly.
