Senator Mohammed Ali Ndume (APC Borno South) has donated two bulls and a token of N1 million cash which would be delivered in the next couple of days to enable troops of North East ‘Operation Hadin Kai’ based in Damboa celebrate their successes against renewed Boko Haram attack.
This gesture is a tradition, as the Senator recently donated three bulls and a token of N2 million following stive resistance and resilience of frontline troops, Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF), local hunters and vigilantes who repelled similar Boko Haram attacks in Izge and Yamtake communities of Gwoza local government area of Borno state.
Recalled that Damboa local government area in Southern Borno came under Boko Haram/ISWAP attack last Friday night, where over 20 terrorists were overwhelmed and killed by troops, with support from the Airforce, where minimal casualties were recorded from side of the troops and civilians.
Reacting to the attack in a telephone interview with our Correspondent in Maiduguri on Saturday, Ndume appreciated the commitment, sacrifices and bravery displayed by the troops and the swift response by the Airforce fighter jet which assisted tremendously in averting much casualties on innocent civilians.
The senator, therefore, advocated for a permanent stationing of functional air-fighter jets within the Theatre to continue complement efforts of ground troops whenever there is any possible attack(s)
He also commended Governor Babagana Zulum for taking a bold steps, especially spending days sleeping and mingling with resilient people who have witnessed series of renewed Boko Haram attacks in remote communities of Marte, Dikwa and Kala- Balge local government areas last week.

“Similarly, let me advocate for a permanent stationing of functional air-fighter jets within the North East Theatre to continue complement efforts of ground troops of ‘Operation Hadin Kai’ whenever there is any possible attack(s)
“Let me also commended governor Babagana Zulum for taking a bold steps, especially spending days sleeping and mingling with resilient people who have witnessed series of renewed Boko Haram attacks in remote communities of Marte, Dikwa and Kala- Balge local government areas last week.
“As usual magnanimity, I have directed some of my aides to liaise with the Executive Chairman of Damboa to deliver two bulls and N1 million cash to be shared among troops of ‘Operation Hadin Kai’ based in Damboa. These gesture would be ready and made available to troops between tomorrow (Sunday) or latest Monday morning”. Ndume stated.
The former Chairman Senate Committee on Army also used the opportunity and prayed Allah (God) to grant Aljanatul Firdaus to the Souls of soldiers and other innocent civilians who died in series of renewed Boko Haram attacks, even as he lauded members of Civilian Joint Task Force, hunters and vigilantes for their unwavering support and sacrifices towards completing efforts of the military in the fight against Boko Haram and other terrorists groups in the region.
