Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced significant progress in the electronic transmission of results from Saturday’s Anambra governorship election, with over 95 percent of polling units successfully uploading their results on the INEC Result Viewing Portal (IReV).
A review of the commission’s online portal on Sunday showed steady updates from polling units across all 21 local government areas of the state, indicating a smoother process compared to previous election cycles.

Data available on the IReV platform revealed that out of 5,720 polling units in Anambra, results from 5,472 units had already been uploaded as of the time of filing this report.
INEC reaffirmed its commitment to transparency and credibility in the ongoing collation process, assuring voters and stakeholders that all uploaded results remain secure and verifiable.
The electoral body described the improved pace of result transmission as a positive sign of technological advancement and operational efficiency.
Observers have also noted that the enhanced performance of the IReV portal reflects INEC’s readiness to ensure free, fair, and credible elections in the state.
