Theatre Command Operation Lafiya Dole of the Nigerian Army has called on the inhabitants of Baga and its adjoining communities in Borno State to return home.

A statement issued Saturday by the Deputy Director Army Public Relations (DDAPR), Colonel Ado Isa, said the communities are now safe for people to live their normal life.

It stated that “following sustained clearance operations by troops of Operation Lafiya Dole in Baga and adjoining communities to rout out elements of the Boko Haram terrorists hibernating within the axis, the communities are now safe for habitation.”

“To this end Theatre Command Operation Lafiya Dole is calling on the inhabitants of the area to return back to their places of abode as the place is now safe and secured,” it said.

The statement further that “the Command therefore wish to call on the good people to cooperate with security operatives and report any suspicious person/activities for prompt action”.
