PATRICK ABANG, Calabar –
Cross River State Governor, Ben Ayade has concluded arrangements to reshuffle his cabinet to enable the administration finish strong .
Governor Ayade, however, gave Thursday, March 5 ultimatum to appointees seeking political positions to tender their resignation.
The governor’s Chief Press Secretary and Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr. Christian Ita disclosed this to our correspondent in an interactive session on Wednesday in Calabar.
He said the reshuffling would help the state governor to map out better strategy to move the state forward and to pave way for those seeking for political positions focus with pursuit with their ambition.
In a release tittle: Our Ref: GO/PREES/12/Vol/11/145, Mr. It’s said, “His Excellency, the Governor, Sir Ben Ayade has directed that any political appointee presently serving in his government but desires to seek elective position in the forthcoming 2023 elections is at liberty to do.
“Ita asked such appointees willing to pursue their ambition of seeking for political positions to however, turn in their resignation on or before 12noon of May 5, 2022; and such letters should be submitted to the Office of the Secretary to the State Government.
“His Excellency, the Governor wishes to thank these political appointees for their invaluable service to the State and prays God to bless their future endeavours”.
