Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, has attended a solemn reception in Lagos to honor the life and legacy of Madam Florence Saraki, mother of former Senate President Bukola Saraki.
The event brought together dignitaries and well-wishers to pay tribute to the extraordinary woman who left an indelible mark on the lives of many.
Governor Mohammed, in his remarks on behalf of the PDP governors, extended a heartfelt condolence message to the Saraki family and all Nigerians mourning the loss.
He said Madam Florence was remembered as a remarkable individual who transcended state boundaries, religions, and tribes, leaving a void in the hearts of many.
“Mama Florence was a remarkable individual who transcended state boundaries, religions, and tribes. Her impact was felt far and wide, and her passing has left a void in the hearts of many. As we gather to celebrate her life and legacy, we remember her warmth, kindness, and generosity.
“Throughout her life, Mama Florence was a shining example of love, compassion, and strength. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and her family was the center of her universe. Her love and support for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren knew no bounds, and she took great pride in their achievements.
“But Mama Florence’s influence went far beyond her family. She was a unifying force, bringing people together across different backgrounds and beliefs. Her warmth and hospitality were legendary, and her home was always open to those in need of comfort, guidance, or simply a listening ear”, he said.
The governor added that: “As we say goodbye to this remarkable woman, we take comfort in the memories we shared with her. We remember her bright smile, her infectious laughter, and her unwavering optimism. We celebrate her life, her legacy, and the countless lives she touched.
“To the Saraki family, we offer our deepest condolences. May you find strength and comfort in the knowledge that Mama Florence’s love and legacy will live on through you. May her memory be a blessing.
