
His Royal Highness, the Ter Katsina Ala, Chief Simon Gbakaan Tativ

Second class traditional ruler in Benue State, His Royal Highness, the Ter Katsina Ala, Chief Simon Gbakaan Tativ has sought the collaboration of the other traditional rulers and other relevant stakeholders in the area to fight insecurity and restore peace in the area.
Speaking in an interview with NATIONAL ACCORD in his Makurdi residence, the Ter Katsina Ala expressed concern over the spate of insecurity in the area and expressed the belief that with strong collaboration with the relevant stakeholders peace would be restored in the area.
The paramount ruler noted that there would be no development where there is no peace and assured that he would stop at nothing in ensuring that permanent peace returns to the area.
The traditional ruler, who has has been installed king few weeks ago, appreciated Governor Hyacinth Alia for his proactive approach in addressing security issues, saying the governor’s firm stand on security issues has prevented it from escalating.
He disclosed that he had already held a meeting with the Tor Sankera and other relevant stakeholders in the area and their desire was to bring permanent peace in the area.
The monarch revealed that he was crowned king because God had destined it as he noted that God had told him that he was going to be made king and this was why he refused to contest for any elective position in the state.
According to him, Governor Alia did not intervene in the selection process which eventually saw his emergence as the traditional ruler of the area.
He called on the people of the area to support him to enable him succeed.
