Benue State Governor, Hyacinth Alia

Benue State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has passed a vote of confidence on Governor Hyacinth Alia for his laudable achievements in the state.
In a communique at the end of the state congress held at the NUJ House Makurdi, on Wednesday, the congress noted with satisfaction the construction of roads across the state and the adequate attention given to the health needs of tbe people among others.
The communique which was signed by the Chairman, communique drafting Committee, John Shiaondo, Secretary, Elizabeth Uta and Terhemen Ater as member also passed a vote of confidence on the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media Publicity and Strategic Chief, Chief Solomon Iorpev and the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Tersoo Kula for their firm support to the Benue journalists.
The communique also appealed to the political class to play the game according to rules to ensure the rapid development of the state.
According to the communique, the congress also appreciated the Governor for his benevolence in sponsoring the medical treatment of a member of the union, Paul Mandeun and appealed to him to extend the gesture to other members in critical conditions.
The union promised to remain supportive of Governor Alia led administration to enable the Governor achieve more for the benefit of the state.
During the congress ex officials and the standing committees of the union were inaugurated.
