Boko Haram Kill 2, injure 5 others in Ngunuri Village of Alau

Two persons were confirmed dead, five others sustained various degrees of injuries and property worth millions naira were destroyed following last night attack by Boko Haram insurgents on Ngururi community of Alau village in Jere Local Government Area of Borno state.
According to one of the survivors from the community, Bulama Yuram, who managed to escape through the bushes, “my personal belongings including my house were all set ablaze by the Boko Haram insurgents during the attack.”
He also said, “the Boko Haram Insurgents who came into the community through the Dalori axis around 11:00pm, started shooting sporadically.
“They ended up in killing 2 people and hitting five others with stray bullets in the process, who are presently receiving treatment at the state specialists Hospital Maiduguri.”
The local further said that most of the villagers spent the night in the bush nearing communities for safety and fear of falling victims in the hands of the the Boko Haram insurgents.
Unfortunately, this took place at the time and day that the Borno State All Progressives Congress (APC) Chairman, Alhaji Ali Bukar Dalori, gave out his daughter in marriage.
The marriage ceremony took place on Saturday, where Governor Babagama Umara Zulum of Borno state represented the father of the bride groom while the Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State represented the father of the bride in company of personalities within and outside Borno, including the immediate past Governor of the state, Senator Mashin Shettima.
