
Yobe State Governor, Hon. Mai Mala Buni, and the Secretary to the Federal Government, Sen. George Akume

Yobe State Governor, Hon. Mai Mala Buni, has visited the Secretary to the Federal Government, Sen. George Akume to discuss areas of cooperation and intervention by the federal government.
A statement issued and signed by Mamman Mohammed, the Director General, Press and Media to the Governor, said Buni highlighted the state of federal projects in the state and the urgent need for federal intervention.
It could be recalled that some federal roads were washed away by floods last year.
Other abandoned projects included the Damaturu regional water supply, Fika Water project, electricity supply and others.
In his response, Sen. Akume, assured Governor Buni that the federal government will look into these projects to improve the lives of the people.
He also assured the commitment of President Bola Tinubu led administration in executing capital projects for the benefit of the people of the state.
Similarly, Governor Buni has met with private investors with proposal to establish agro-allied industries in the state.
He said Yobe State Government would establish Industrial village which will be provided with facilities to woo investors to the State.
