The Secretary to the Cross River State Government, Professor Anthony Owan Enoh has reiterated the state government’s commitment to plan well for its citizens, maintaining that “without the children of today there will be no tomorrow”.
Professor Enoh stated this on Friday in Calabar during the Cross River State Planning Commission workshop on results based management which was organized in collaboration with UNICEF.
Prof. Enoh promised to support UNICEF, saying that without planning, you cannot succeed, adding that he was part of the previous administration that impacted on people’s lives.
“As a government, we must collaborate and partner with you for the betterment of Cross River State”.
In a goodwill message, The Unicef Chief of Mission Enugu Office, Olusegi Akinyeye said the State Governor, Senator Bassey Otu had a great vision for Cross River State for the betterment of its citizens.
According to him, the Workshop is very important to ensure that the plan are evidence based practice .
He said it is a development plan because it will definitely developed the state. This training Workshop is situation Analysis in terms of development.
Earlier, the Parmanent Secretary in the office of the State Planning Commission Kingsley Ndem said the essence of the Workshop is to build capacity of partnership on the Right Based Management.
He further said that it would support situation analysis with data collection and plan for the development of the state.
