Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has commenced registration for candidates seeking admission into Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) programmes in Colleges of Education and Non-Technological Agricultural Programmes offered by polytechnics across the country.
This is contained in a statement signed on Thursday by the Acting Director of Public Affairs and Protocol, JAMB, Fabian Benjamin, Ph.D.
The board announced that eligible applicants can complete their registration at any Institutional Professional Registration Centre (IPRC) located in Colleges of Education or at any JAMB Professional Registration Centre (PRC) nationwide, provided they possess the required O’Level qualifications.
The development follows the Federal Government’s decision to exempt candidates applying for NCE and Non-Technological Agricultural Programmes from sitting the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
According to JAMB, a new admission process has been put in place to ensure that only qualified candidates are admitted into the programmes while maintaining the quality and integrity of the admissions process.
Under the arrangement, candidates are only required to present their O’Level credentials at any designated registration centre to complete their application, as sitting for the UTME is no longer a requirement.
The board urged eligible candidates to take advantage of the opportunity by visiting the designated registration centres in Colleges of Education or JAMB offices across the country to begin the admission process.
JAMB also disclosed that candidates who participated in the 2026 UTME but have now chosen to pursue NCE or Non-Technological Agricultural Programmes can convert their applications at any designated registration centre without paying any additional fee.
