CharlyBoy
Veteran entertainer and social activist CharlyBoy has taken a significant step towards promoting men’s health by launching a nationwide prostate cancer screening campaign.
The initiative, spearheaded by the Charly Boy Foundation, aims to educate men about prostate health, encourage regular screening, and promote early treatment.
The campaign is particularly crucial, given the high prevalence of prostate cancer among Nigerian men.
CharlyBoy, who recently survived prostate cancer, is using his personal experience to raise awareness about the importance of voluntary tests for early detection and treatment.
The Charly Boy Foundation is working to:
Create awareness about prostate health and the importance of regular screening; provide free prostate screenings to men in rural communities and urban areas; partner with healthcare outfits and volunteer community groups to organize local men’s gatherings for prostate tests and awareness; utilize social media tools and the foundation’s website to provide information and opportunities for. engagement
CharlyBoy is calling on Nigerians to support the campaign, whether through financial donations or volunteering.
He emphasized that the initiative needs partnerships with local organizations, healthcare providers, and government agencies to expand its scope of operation and reach more men.
The Charly Boy Foundation has already made significant progress, having funded screenings for over 500 men and partnering with healthcare providers to organize local men’s gatherings. However, more needs to be done to reach a larger audience and make a meaningful impact.
The CharlyBoy Foundation is urging all well-meaning Nigerians to join the movement and support the campaign. Together, we can make a difference and save the lives of Nigerian men.
