Cleric preaches peace, love, peaceful coexistence

A renowned Islamic Scholar and Chairman, Borno State Integrated Islamic Schools and Tsangaya Reform Committee, Khalifah Sheikh Aliyu Ahmad Abulfatihi has called Nigerians  to live in love, unity and to strengthen peaceful co-.existence amongst one another.

He also enjoined the people irrespective of their religion, origin, tribe, cultural background or political affiliation to imbibe and emulate the teachings of religious leaders by being more resilient, prayerful and grateful to God for His blessings.

Khalifah, stated this weekend during his sermon at the special prayers, Quranic recitation and reading of Diwani to mark the 1445 AH islamic calendar year.

While commending the organizers of the event, the cleric urged the people, especially, the youths to shun social vices and have fear of God, warning that on the day of judgement, all creators will give account of their deeds and misdeeds

He also called on youths especially the Al-Majiris (Quranic Learners) who are pupils/students including women to endeavour to be self reliant and desist from idleness because idleness and non ambition are devil workshop, pointing out that, such vices lead to crimes and homicides as the mind will begin to struggle with the devil.

According to him, only regular and constant prayers and fear of God couple with reading of holy books , doing good and being nice to others as well as loving others as you ove yourself, the blessings and mercies of God will be with the people always and people will live a better and happy life.

The Chairman further urged people to continue to be respectful and obedient to constituted authorities and their leaders and to pray for peace, unity, stability, progress and development of the country .

The cleric added that prayers are the bedrock of peace, security, abundance , unity, progress and development which should be embraced by the people irrespective of age group in the society.

He commended the leaders and members of Shababul Faida for their determination, commitment, eand sacrifices for the cause of Allah SWT and voluntary selfless service to humanity which is uncommon and difficult to sustain these days.

Khalifah however called on the leaders and members of the organization never to relent on their efforts and sacrifices, reiterating that. their reward is in the heaven and uneasy to come by as well need frequently devotion, encouragement and motivation to sustain their good works.

The Director General, of Shababul Faida First Aid Nigeria, Sayyadi Sheriff Malam Tijani Bako Abubakar expressed appreciation and profound gratitude to Allah SWT for making the event a successful one. He pledged that the organization would continue to sustain and improve on its service to humanity.

While the Guest Speaker, Sheikh Imam Isa Fezzan of Federal Government College Maiduguri delivered lecture on importance and virtues of the month of Muharram in Islamic Calendar and blessings associated with organizing special prayers annually to appreciate the gifts, blessings and mercies of Allah SWT to mankind in the month of Muharram every year.

The State Chairman of Jammiyyatu Ansaruddin Attijaniyya Nigeria, Sayyadi Shehu Ahmadu Abulfatihi Usman called on members to disabuse their minds on gossips and blackmails against the organisation and its leaders who are out to service humanity voluntarily.
