
Cross River State Commissioner of Sports Development, Mrs Agnes Atsu

Cross River State Football Association (FA) has commenced training of thirty one match commissioners drawn from the 18 local government Areas of the state.
Declaring the 2023 Seminar/Workshop open on Tuesday at the U.J.Esuene Stadium, the Commissioner of Sports Development, Mrs Agnes Atsu commended members of the State (FA) for keying into the Administration of Governor Bassey Otu of moving the round leader game forward.
The Commissioner explained that in no distance time the state government will provide an indoor sports infrastructure.
“We are here to develop football and other spots, we are not supposed to be where we are but be prepared because the governor is serious to take sports infrastructure seriously ”
“I have come with a passion to develop sports infrastructure in the state and I am meeting you in the joint tasks ahead”
In his remarks, the Cross River State Chairman of the Association, Apostle Essien Ayi said the whole idea of the yearly event was to bring tutor, who are officially charged with the responsibility of football to know what is expected of them.
Essien Ayi, who was represented by his vice president, Gregory Abang, further, explained that we are preparing them for National Assignment
The seminar Paper presentation include the role and functions of a Match Commissioners presented by Gregory Abang, the Role of Sports psychology in football for sports excellence by Dr Edmond O and Combating Holliganism during matches by a lecturer from the University of Calabar, Dr Apie M.
