Borno State Independent Electoral Commission (BOSIEC) has commenced the sales of nomination and interest forms for chairmanship and councillorshp Election at the State APC Secretariat in Maiduguri.
The Borno APC Chairman, Hon Bello Ayuba, who stated this in an interaction with newsmen in his office in Maidugiri, called on all interested aspirants to obtain the forms and participate in the forthcoming local government elections.
Hon. Ayuba also assured that the party is committed to ensuring a transparent, free and fair election.
He therefore urged all the aspirants to conduct themselves properly during their electioneering campaigns.

According to him, the sales of the forms will last for a week, after which the screening and clearance of aspirants will commence before the local government election which is scheduled to take place in January 2024.
The 18 committee members responsible for the sales of the nomination and interest forms for the chairmanship and councillorshp elections for Borno State APC include – Hon. Auwal Hamza Borno Assembly Chairman, while Hon. Mustapha Gadabe is the co-chairman and Barr. Babashehu Zannah is the Secretary.
Other members include Hon Lydia Gura, Hon Shettima Damboa, Hon Umar Gaya, Hon Aji kolo Ali Guja, and Hon Allamin Kamselem.
He added that the committee is also responsible for overseeing the sales of forms and ensuring that the process is transparent and fair.
