By OLA MUDOPE, Lagos –
On Sunday morning, a fire broke out at the Christ Embassy Church in Oregun, Ikeja, Lagos State
The church, owned by Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, suffered significant damage, with property worth millions of naira destroyed.
Multiple videos captured the scene as the fire ravaged the main auditorium.
Meanwhile, the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service (LSFRS) has responded to the incident, with Director Mrs. Margret Adeseye confirming that the fire had been brought under control.
Adeseye stated that the fire had impacted the main auditorium, and that it had escalated due to the church’s fire service attempting to handle the situation independently without seeking assistance from the Lagos fire service.
The cause of the fire remains unknown pending further investigation.
