The family of the late Comrade J I Orkar, of Vandeikya LGA, Benue State has announced the official funeral program to honor the life and legacy of Mr Samuel Terver Orkar, who passed unto glory July 21, 2025 at the age of 49 in Lagos after a brief illness.
The funeral activities will take place across several locations: Lagos (Lagos State), Makurdi (Benue State), Mbawuar (Vandeikya LGA), and Abuja (FCT), beginning with a service of songs and culminating in a thanksgiving service. Below is the detailed schedule:
Monday, 4th August 2025
Evening of Tributes at Four Square Gospel Church, Sabo, Yaba, Lagos (opposite Sabo Market) from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
Thursday, 7th August 2025
Service of Songs at NKST Makurdi Central, Wadata, from 4:30 pm to 7:00 pm.
Friday, 8th August 2025
The body will depart Makurdi at 1:00 pm for the Orkar Anjiishi compound, Ugba, Mbawuar, Mbadede, Vandeikya LGA, followed by an all-night Christian wake keep commencing at 7:00 pm.
Saturday, 9th August 2025
Interment Service/Final Internment will be held at the family compound from 7:00 am to 9:00 am.
Sunday, 17th August 2025
Thanksgiving Service at National Hospital Chapel, Abuja.
The family invites all members of the public, friends, and well-wishers to partake in the funeral activities and pay their respects as they celebrate the life of Late Bro. Samuel Terver Orkar.
