Gombe Govt condoles Borno over death of SSG

Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum on Thursday received the Gombe State Government delegation led by the Deputy Governor, Hon. Manassah Daniel Jatau including the Gombe State SSG Prof. Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi and other top government officials.

Hon. Jatau, who conveyed the condolence of the Government and people of Gombe State, said the late SSG, Usman Shuwa, was an astute administrator and a gentleman and prayed for the repose of his soul.

The delegation also condoled with the government and people of Borno state over the fire disaster at the Monday market while apologising for their late sympathy visit over the fire incident.


They, however, presented a donation of N50 million cheque on behalf of Government and people of Gombe State to the victims of the fire disaster at the famous Monday market.

In a related development, the Emir of Patiskum and his entourage also condoled the family of the late SSG and Borno State Government on Thursday.

In his remark, Governor Zulum appreciated the gesture and thanked them for the visit and donation .
