Gov. Tambuwal pays condolence visit to the family of late Emir of Lere

A delegation from Sokoto State Government has paid a condolences visit to the bereaved family of late Emir of Lere and Former Military Administrator of Sokoto State, Brigadier General Abubakar Garba Muhammad who died yesterday at the age of 77.

The delagation led by the State Deputy Governor, Hon. Manir Muhammad Dan’iya on behalf of Governor Amimu Waziri Tambuwal noted that the late Lere dedicated his life to the service to humanity and God.

According to Tambuwal, the late Gen Lere served humanity both in the military and outside the military.

A statement by Amimu Abdullahi, the Director Press to the Deputy Governor, quoted Tambuwal as saying, “The late administrator has left a mark when he super-headed the affair of the then Sokoto State from 1985 to 1986″.

“The late Emir of Lere is one courageous and hardworking individual who the history of Sokoto State will not be complete without his handi work. And surely, Sokoto will forever remain grateful to him”

Tambuwal’s delegation comprises of the State PDP Chairman, Alhaji Bello Aliyu Goronyo, the party Secretary, Alhaji Abubakar Zaki Bashire as well as other party officials from Sokoto’ State.

While praying to Almighty Allah (SWT) to forgive all the short comings of the late Emir Lere, and reward his gentle soul with Jannatul Firdausi, Tambuwal urged the good people of Kaduna and his immediate family to take solace in Allah as according to him, from Allah we come and into we shall all return.

Speaking on behalf of the family of the Late Emir of Lere, The Madakin Lere, Alhaji Sulaiman Umar, thanked Governor Tambuwal for sending such a high powered delegation led by his Deputy Hon. Manir Dan’iya for the condolences.

Alhaji Umar further disclosed that the late Emir has higher regard for Sokoto and the Governor, adding that he always give positive accounts of Sokoto and its people as one of the States he worked as a military man.
