Benue State Governor, Hyacinth Alia

The Benue State Governor, Hyacinth Alia has constituted the Benue Sports Council to steer the affairs of Lobi Stars Football club and other sports activities.
As a result, Governor Alia has issued a directive with immediate effective, that Lobi Stars FC will operate under the auspices of the Benue Sports Council, with Dr. Philip Nongu serving as Chairman and Dr. Iorngulum Malu as Secretary.”
A statement by the Technical Adviser to the Governor Media,, Publicity and Communication Strategy, Solomon Iorpev said other members of the council includes Chief Solomon Andiir, Mr. Harry Yachi, Mr. Francis and Sir James Iorpuu was to serve Government Representative.
With the constitution of the sports council, the governor has directed that all management handover must be completed immediately.
The constitution of the sports council became necessary following the removal of the Dominic Iorfa led leadership of the club.
