Governor Alia gets royal blessings, support from Tor Tiv

In a bid to stimulate Benue State Governor, Hyacinth Alia to perform better, the Tiv Area Traditional Council (TATC) has pledged its unwavering loyalty and commitment to his administration to take the state to higher height.

Speaking during the Governor’s visit to the palace to pay homage to the traditional rulers headed by the Tor Tiv and President Tiv Area Traditional Council, His Royal Majesty Orcivirigh Prof James Ortese Iorzua Ayatse, the traditional rulers blessed Governor Hyacinth Alia and assured him of their support since they have seen his determination to take Benue to greater heights.

A statement by the Chief Press Secretary to Tor Tiv, Freddie Adamgbe said the TATC vowed to stand by him to effectively address the multifarious challenges that hamper the development of Benue especially insecurity which threatened farming activities as the cropping season approaches.

According to the statement, a peaceful atmosphere guaranteed prosperity in all areas of endeavours therefore Governor Alia deserves the support of all Benue citizens to implement his programmes which they expressed confidence that would tremendously transform the state.

On his part, Governor Hyacinth Alia informed TATC of his achievements in office so far and the future plans to do more in the area of insecurity, agriculture, roads construction network, schools, industries among others hence his visit to seek more blessings from his fathers.

The Governor noted with regret that as the food basket of the nation, Benue State deserves peace to continue to produce farm products to feed the nation, adding that his administration has mapped out strategies to create employment opportunities for the youths.
