Governor Alia lauds NKST church for massive support, sues for prayers

Benue State Governor, Hyacinth Alia has lauded the NKST Church for the untiring supportive role it has maintained to enable the State Government achieve its mandate.

Addressing the 2024 NKST Synod annual General Council Meeting at Mkar Secretariat on November 6, Governor Alia urged them to intensify prayers to God Almighty to enable him redeem the Benue Masses in all the sectors of Governance.

Represented by the Executive Secretary of Benue State Emergency Management Agency (BSEMA,) Sir James Iorpuu, the Governor described the NKST as a Christ denomination who are widely known for untired propagation of the gospel of God to win souls for Christ.

Alia explained that his administration was committed to revitalizing the deteriorating state of administration in Benue State and to restore participatory democracy for all Benue citizens.

According to the Governor, the regular payment of staff emoluments, construction of flyovers across the three zones in Benue State, massive opening of rural access roads, massive construction of township roads, establishment of industries in the State as well massive employment of youths in the State were rare signs of Benue rescue mission.

He appealed to the NKST denomination to activate regular prayers for the continued deliverance of Benue State and assured of a  working synergy and the rectification of the NKST major challenges by his administration.

In his welcome speech, the President of NKST Synod, Rev. Nendaga Adule who appreciated the Governor for providing the Sum of Fifty million Naira for the completion of the auditorium under construction at Mkar Secretariat also lauded the Governor for appointing Rev. Dr. Fredrick Kyaan, Commissioner for Education and Knowledge Management  and also for finding other numerous NKST sons worthy to serve in his government.

The cleric also appealed to the Governor to provide assistance the assistance for the rehabilitation of water system across the NKST high Schools in Benue State.

The former Speaker of the Benue State House of Assembly  Terkimbi Kyange who is currently the Commissioner for Youth, Sport and Creativity in his comment, called on the church to exercise patience as great plans of transformation in the denomination was a top priority of the Alia led administration.

Wife of the 10th Speaker of the Benue State House of Assembly, Mrs. Kundumiyol Dajoh hailed the monumental achievements of the Fr Alia led administration and called for massive support from the church to enable the government succeed.

The Special Adviser, Bureau of Local and Chieftaincy Affairs, Dr Dennis Akura in his comment, assured of the desire of Governor Alia to sustain his transformation agenda for the benefit of the Benue Masses and appreciated the NKST Synod for playing host to the Powerful delegation sent by the Governor to witness the opening ceremony of the 2024, Synod General Council meeting.

During the visit, the Governor donated 200 bags of maize, 200 bags of rice to the council even as 10 children from the Orphanage home at NKST Mkar were placed on life time scholarship.

Governor Hyacinth  Iormem Alia of Benue State has extended warm birthday wishes to his deputy, Sam Ode.

A statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Tersoo Kula said Governor Alia acknowledged the Deputy Governor’s  dedication, leadership, and commitment to the welfare of Benue people.

Governor Alia appreciated Ode’s remarkable contributions to his administration which he insisted have not gone unnoticed.

The Governor described Sam Ode as an invaluable partner in their shared vision for a prosperous Benue State

While wishing Ode a joyful birthday surrounded by loved ones the Governor prayed for renewed strength and fulfillment of aspirations.

The Governor looked forward to continuing their collaborative work to uplift the community and create a brighter future for the Benue people.
