Governor Mutfwang condemns fresh attacks on plateau communities

Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang, has condemned the deadly attacks that recently took place in Kopnanle community in Mangu and Mandar Shar village in Bokkos Local Government Area of the state.

NATIONAL ACCORD reports that the attacks, which occurred on Friday night, resulted in multiple casualties and injuries within the affected communities.

Governor Mutfwang expressed his dismay at the unfortunate events, especially at a time when the government is actively working to restore peace and security in the state and facilitate the return of displaced persons to their homes.

In a statement released by the Director of Press and Public Affairs, Gyang Bere, the governor warned the perpetrators of these violent acts to cease their actions, as the government is committed to bringing them to justice.

The governor also praised the efforts of the security agencies in protecting the lives and property of the citizens of Plateau State, urging them to increase their vigilance and fulfill their duty of safeguarding innocent communities.

Additionally, Governor Mutfwang extended his heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and the affected communities, offering prayers for the swift recovery of those injured in the attacks.

He called upon community leaders to engage in dispute resolution processes and report any signs of potential conflict to the authorities for immediate action.

As the rainy season approaches, Governor Mutfwang urged residents to remain vigilant and promote positive relations between communities to ensure a safe and successful farming period.
