Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi A. Sule, on Wednesday, held a valedictory meeting with all the outgoing 13 local government council chairmen in the state.
The valedictory meeting which was held at the Governor’s mini conference room, had in attendance all the 13 local government chairmen.
Governor Sule, appreciated them for their various contributions and achievements which he said is for the overall development of the state in the past three years of their stewardship.
It will be recall that the chairmen were sworn in on the 8th of October 2021 and next week 8th October they will clock 3 years in office and it will mark the end of their tenure as council bosses.
Earlier, before the Governor’s meeting with 13 council chairmen, the Nasarawa State Independence Electoral Commission (NASIEC), headed by its chairman, Barrister Ayuba Wandai Usman, also held a meeting with Inter Party Advisory Council (IPAC).
The commission during the meeting released the guidelines for the conduct of the proposed election and fixed November 2, 2024, for elections of Chairmen and Councillors of Local Government Areas (LGAs) in the state.
