GROUP CALLS FOR DR MUSTAPHA ABDULLAHI SACK OVER MULTIPLE SALARIES FROM FG ACCOUNT

A pro All Progressive Congress (APC) group, Northern Progressive Forum has called for the sack of Mustapha Abdullahi as the Director General of Energy Commission of Nigeria over what it described as fraud.

Recall that’s Dr. Mustapha Abdullahi was appointed as the Director-General and Chief Executive Officer of the Energy Commission of Nigeria (ECN) by President Bola Tinubu  on the October 24th, 2023.

In a statement by the group’s media director, Abdulazeez Adamu, Wednesday, called for his sack for allegedly receiving salaries from four different Federal Government purse.

“It is obvious and we have uncovered some games being played Mustapha Abdullahi who is the Director General of Energy Commission.”

“It is inhuman for any right thinking individual to be extorting the federal government by receiving salaries from four different federal government accounts when we have several Nigerians who can not afford  three square meal in a day.

“He is receiving salary as SA to minister of science and technology, meanwhile, still working with NARSDA, and DG NEC.

“We have observed that it is a totally uncalled for and we urged Mr president which must immediately take action by relieving him of his duty as the Director General of Energy Commission”.

“This action by him has shown there are more people like Betta Edu within the government who must be flushed out as a matter of urgency.”

“It is very unfortunate that such kind of persons are now directing affairs of our government. They are only interested in destroying the government and preventing  Mr President from getting a second term”.

The group however call on the president to pay critical attention to aides around him so as to avoid future more greedy appointees.
