
Convener and leadership of One Benue, Mr. Lawrence Kyuka, addressing journalists at NUJ House, Makurdi

A group under the auspices of One Benue has called for unity, progress and peace of the Benue people and shun all tendencies capable of dividing them
Addressing journalists on Wednesday at the NUJ House in Makurdi, the convener of the One Benue, Mr. Lawrence Kyuka, noted that the aim of the organisation was to promote peace, unity and progress of the Benue people.
As part of efforts to promote peaceful coexistence in the state, Kyuka disclosed that One Benue was putting together a concert expected to start on April 18, 2025 where professionals from various areas would be assembled to show their capacity and add value to the society.
Mr. Kyuka told journalists that the organisation wanted to encourage peaceful coexistence and harmonious relationship among the Benue people and appealed to the people of the state to embrace peace.
The State Coordinator of One Benue, Mr. Romeo Nyamatsa, in his remarks, said One Benue was designed to bring about oneness in the state.
He lamented that Benue was divided in various ways, emphasizing that the state has divided in the areas of politics, ethnicity and religion among others.
The Coordinator, further, expressed hope that with the series of programmes that are currently lined up, Benue would move to the next level.
The technical partner, Josef Igomu, who appreciated the Benue State Governor, Hyacinth Alia for providing the enabling environment, expressed optimism that the vision of One Benue would come to fruition.
