“How I married my wife from the pitch” – Ex-Rovers player

The Technical Director of Cross River State Football Association and former captain of Rovers Football club of Calabar, Chief Edum Paul Attila has said that he married his wife from the pitch as a player.

Mr. Attila said: I met my wife inside the pitch as a Rovers player, we did traditional wedding and reception inside the stadium, my wedding cake was a football showing the passion I have for the game”

Speaking to our Correspondent in an exclusive interview in Calabar the Cross River State capital, the ex international says my wife is a volleyball player, the only female State Chairmen of Nigerian Football Supporter’s Club in the country.

Attila, who is also the Chairman of the Local Organising Committee (LOC) of Confederation of African Football (CAF) in the state disclosed that the proposed CAF Coaching Seminar earlier slated for this month had been rescheduled to the 8-10 September 2022.

He said the Seminar is being organized in conjunction with the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF), National Institute for Sports, Cross River State Football Association, and the National Coaching Association

“We are expecting resource person from the (NFF) (NIS) and other stakeholders and over 200 participants from within and outside the State”

“The Coaching Seminar will improve the Coaching skills of our coaches, enhance their performance and offer them opportunity to step up their job”

He explained that all the 18 Local Government Association of the Nigerian Football Association are involved in the CAF Coaching Seminar in the state.
