The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) has set to organize free training for weed management, best agronomic practices in cassava, maize farming systems for extension agents, farm managers, and other agricultural extension service practitioners.
The announcement was contained in a release on its cassava matters website.
The training which is coming under the African Cassava Agronomy Initiative (ACAI) of the IITA is aimed at equiping frontline extension and advisory services personnel and farm managers with the knowledge needed to improve cassava and maize productivity and yield.
The two day training slated to hold from April 2-3, 2020 at the IITA campus, Ibadan will be done in both theory and practical sessions.
