Member of the House of Representatives for Gwer East / Gwer West Federal Constituency, Dr. Asema Achado has promised to provide projects that would have direct bearing on the lives of his constituents and to cooperate with the relevant stakeholders to develop the area.

Speaking at the ceremony organised by the legislator to celebrate Easter with his people in Aliade, Gwer East Local Government Area of the state, the federal lawmaker, who informed that his interest was for the development of his constituency, noted that he had already sponsored bills and motions that would cause the development of the area.

Dr Achado revealed that a bill for the establishment of an Artificial Intelligence Institute in Aliade would soon be passed into law even as he has also sponsored a bill for the establishment of Nigeria Army School of Military Engineering (NASME) which was established about 21 years without the law guaranteeing its establishment.

He said he was prepared to build three blocks at the already acquired site of the Artificial Intelligence Institute for ICT, Library and lecture halls.

The legislator expressed worry over the attack and killing of about twenty people at Wan-doo, Mbaikyor, saying the attack propelled him to sponsor a motion which according to him received the blessings of the people and within a shot time, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) would provide relief materials to the victims of the attack.

Achado further revealed that the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) Senator George Akume, who also expressed deep worry on the issue according to the lawmaker sent one hundred bags of rice for the victims.

The Gwer East/ Gwer West representative in the National Assembly, who also expressed confidence that there would be cooperation between Governor Hyacinth Alia, the SGF, Senator Akume and other stakeholders also believed that with such cooperation his people would witness unprecedented development.

As he sued for unity amongst his constituents, the legislator urged them to pray and support the SGF, Senator Akume, Governor Hyacinth Alia and other Government functionaries to succeed.

Member of the State House of Assembly for Gwer East, Elias Audu in his comment at the ceremony appreciated the National Assembly member and encouraged the people to support him and the leader the SGF to succeed in their assignments.

Also speaking, John Akange Ishom of the All Progressives Congress (APC), appreciated the lawmaker and expressed the confidence that Achado would not disappoint his constituents.

Other speakers including Mrs. Margaret Iorember, former Commissioner in the state among others, said the leadership qualities of the lawmaker would make him not to disappoint the people.

The federal legislator who met with the traditional rulers earlier in the day told them that he was in the palace to celebrate Easter with his constituents and it was wise to visit the traditional rulers.

The Ter Gwer, Chief Dominic Akpe, who welcomed the lawmaker and his team said they would continue to give him their blessings and support to succeed.

Items donated by the lawmaker include hundreds of bags of rice fertilizer as well as sprayers.
