The operations, conducted across various communities, also thwarted multiple bandit attacks, bolstering safety for residents.
Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Abubakar Aliyu, shared these achievements during a press briefing in Katsina on Friday, August 8, 2025.
“Our strategic operations have not only rescued numerous victims but also disrupted criminal activities, ensuring safer communities,” Aliyu stated, highlighting the recovery of 161 cows and 68 sheep among the 229 animals.
The police arrested 302 suspects linked to various offenses during the period.
These included 14 individuals suspected of armed robbery, 22 for murder or culpable homicide, and 25 for alleged rape.
Additionally, 20 suspected vandals, eight fraude, and 26 individuals involved in illicit drug-related crimes were apprehended, showcasing the command’s comprehensive approach to tackling crime.
Aliyu detailed the recovery of stolen property, stating, “We seized three suspected stolen vehicles, two motorcycles, a significant quantity of illicit drugs, including suspected cannabis, and a large amount of vandalized armored cables.”
These recoveries underscore the command’s efforts to dismantle criminal networks targeting both lives and property in Katsina.
Expressing gratitude on behalf of Commissioner of Police Bello Shehu, Aliyu noted, “The support and collaboration from the public have been instrumental in our successes.”
He urged residents to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities, emphasizing the importance of community partnership in maintaining law and order.
