The paramount ruler of Igala kingdom, His Royal Majesty Michael Ameh Oboni II, has been reported dead, information from Kogi State stated.
According to a report by Greenbarge Reporters, source said the monarch died on Thursday morning in an undisclosed private hospital in Abuja after a brief illness.
The cause of his death has yet to been known as at the time of writing this report.
Before his death, he was the chairman, Kogi State Traditional Council.
Though, Kogi State government and the traditional council in Igala kingdom are yet to issue any official statement on the demise of the Paramount ruler.
