Kwara Anglican Diocese holds Synod April 20th

The first session of the 17th Synod of the Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, Diocese of Kwara, will begin on Thursday 20th April, 2023 at Bishop Smith Memorial Anglican Church, Gaa Akanbi, Ilorin, the Kwara State capital. 

According to a statement by the Chairman, Publicity Sub Committee, Mr Kayode Awotunde, the theme of this year’s Synod is: ‘Who is on the Lord’s side’? as contained in Exodus 32 verse 26.

“The opening service for the Synod will hold on Thursday 20th April, 2023 beginning at 4pm.

“On Friday, 21st April, 2023, His lordship, the Bishop of Diocese of Kwara, the Rt. Rev’d Sunday Timothy Gbade Adewole, will present the Bishop’s Charge, which will be launched accordingly at 10am.

The statement added that the Plenary Session of the Synod will take place on Saturday 22nd April, 2023. While the Synod will come to an end on Sunday 23rd April, 2023 with a Thanksgiving Service beginning at 10am at the same venue.
