Kwara Gov. presents letter of appointment to new Olupo

The Kwara State Governor, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq on Monday presented the letter of appointment to Oba Ibrahim Alebiosu, the new Olupo of Ajase-Ipo in Irepodun Local Government Area of the State.

While speaking during the presentation ceremony in Ilorin, the Commissioner of Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs and Community Development, Architect Aliyu Saifudeen who represented and presented the letter of appointment on behalf of Governor Abdulrasaq charged the new monarch to use his God given position for the betterment of the people of Ajase-Ipo, Irepodun Local Government Area and the state at large.

“I wish to state here categorically that His Excellency, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq has always accorded due recognition, respect and support to the traditional rulers since the inception of this administration. The new Oba should always mobilise his subjects for government activities, programmes and projects to ensure the overall development of the town”.

The governor prayed that the new Olupo’s reign usher in peace, progress and rapid socioeconomic transformation of the town.

in his emotional acceptance speech, the new Olupo, said he feels humbled for been chosen by the king makers to ascend the throne of his forefathers.

He prayed God to continue to guide and guard the governor as he pilots the affairs of the state and called on those who contested with him to cooperate with him in order to move the town forward.
