Lagos State Commissioner for Health, Prof Akin Abayomi, has tested positive for the coronavirus (COVID-19).
The Commissioner made this known via a tweet on Monday by Gawat Jubril, the senior special assistant to the governor of Lagos state on new media.
Jubril however noted that the Commissioner had no symptoms and that he (Abayomi) is doing well.
“FLASH: The Lagos State Commissioner for Health, @ProfAkinAbayomi has tested POSITIVE to the Corona Virus … he is doing well no symptoms .. will begin 14 days self-isolation & home care immediately… continues to discharge his duty as Deputy Incident Commander,” the tweet reads.
