In Maiduguri, various organizations like North East Children Education Trust Learning Centre (NECTR) and Network for Civil Society Organizations in Borno State (NECSOB), along with individual volunteers, are making a real difference in the lives of flood victims.
They recently distributed essential items like mosquito nets, sanitary pads, food, and water to those in need.
The Executive Director, NECSOB, Comrade Bulama Abiso, led the effort, which was supported by several individuals and groups.
During the distribution, Abiso encouraged others to join in and help the victims of the flood, emphasizing that every contribution, no matter how small, counts.
“We also call on other wealthy individuals and corporate organizations both home and outside to come to the aid of the victims of this flood catastrophic incident that befell in our state, Borno. No amount or quantity is small to being succour to our people affected by the flood,” Abiso said.
In a separate effort, Yin.Sunrday from EMF distributed hot meals and water to multiple locations, bringing much-needed relief to the affected communities.
