A 25 year old man, (name witheld) from Goronyo Local Government Area of Sokoto State has been accused of forcefully having an annal sex with his 15 years old wife resulting into her near incapacitation, medical officials noted.
The abused wife, was lying critical under pains in one of the hospitals Sokoto withen Sokoto’ metropolis when newsmen visited.
At the hospital, she could not move any of her body parts, especially from the waist downwards.
When the State Commssioner for Women and Children Affairs, Hajiya Kulu Abdullahi Sifawa visited the 15 years old girl at the hospital, she was visibly amazed at the level of the cruelty of the husband.
She, however, promised that the husband would be made to face the full wrath of the law
Giving account of what transpired between her 25 year old son in-law (husband of the girl) and her daughter, the mother of the girl said, the man (his in-law) forcefully had sex with her daughter through the anus.
“According to what my daughter told me, the husband wanted to have sex with her through the anus and she refused. After that, he applied force by folding her arms and legs hence chocking her into silence. He therefore had anal sex with her to a point that she became unconscious.
“When we got to know about it, we took her to the nearest PHC in the area. She couldn’t stand, seat nor walk. She was helped into the motorcycle and even had some bruises on her leg from the mortocycle before we reached the PHC.
“On reaching the PHC in Goronyo, we were told they cannot handle the case, hence we were directed to proceed to Specialist Hospital here in Sokoto Metropolis for advanced medical attention.
Seeing the severely malnurished 15 year old girl laying helplessly with rinkles of pains and anguish boldly written over her when our correspondent visited, the mother, however, decried that she has been laying motionless like that for almost 10 days now since the incident happened.
“Since this incident happened to her 10 days ago, she has not gone to toilet as well. She doesn’t even feel pains from her back side through to her waist downwards. It looks as if it’s that of someone who is almost paralyzed”.
Reacting to the development, a medical personnel in the hospital who prefered anonimity said they have carried out several test on her and are still running other test.
According to the health official, they observed that her anus was reddish when they brought her and they are now suspecting likely spinal cord injuries, hence she cannot move any part of her body.
