
Borno State Coordinator of the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Alhaji Bukar Musa, who represented the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Alhaji Mohammed Mahmud Abubakar commissioned the community projects in Borno

The Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, in pursuance of its mandate of provision of Rural Development Projects, has commissioned two solar powered boreholes with overhead plastic tanks at Jibrilla, Kotoko and Muna farming community farming communities in Jere Local Government Area of Borno State.
Commissioning the two community projects, the Borno State Coordinator of the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Alhaji Bukar Musa, who represented the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Alhaji Mohammed Mahmud Abubakar, urged the benefitting communities to make effective and efficient use of the water facilities as it will go a long way in ameliorating their water problems.
He added that water facilities further provide them with adequate water supply to concentrate on farming as well enhance their farming activities throughout the farming season apart from domestic and livestock use .
He also appealed to the community leaders and other stakeholders to ensure proper maintenance and protection of the water facilities from vandalization and misuse by the benefitting residents.
Community Leaders of the two communities respectively, could not hide their joy and happiness when they expressed their gratitude and appreciation to the Federal Government for touching the lives of their people with such gigantic community projects to ease their sufferings and hardships on water supply in their areas.
