
Cross River Governor, Bassey Otu

Senator Bassey Otu, the governor elect of Cross River State has pledged his commitment to the development of sports in the state when he assumed office
Otu said his administration will give priority attention to sports development because of the huge potential to the state.
“The incoming government will pay attention to sports and I promise you that Golf was not in my mind but will now give attention to goffers in the state because I am impressed with what you are doing”
The governor elect said this on Saturday after his induction at the Calabar Golf Club during the Governor’s Inaugural Golf Tournament at Calabar Golf Club.
Earlier, the Captain of the Calabar Golf Club, Ahmed Sabo, said the essence of the tournament was to bring golfing activities in the state to the world.
He lamented that Cross River State which has been a tourism destination has not been encouraging golfing activities in the state
He assured the incoming government of a robust relationship with the state government in the promotion of sports development in the state.
