Member representing Keffi East constituency at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Hon. John Ovey, commissioned N15 million transformer he purchased and donated to the people of his constituency.
According to the lawmaker, the move was to boost electricity supply and improve on the socio-economic activities of the people of his constituency who have been living for over one year in total darkness.
Hon. Ovey (PDP) and the Chairman, House Committee on Water Resources while commissioning the transformer in Keffi on Saturday, sympathized with the people in the affected areas for staying for more than one year in darkness.

“I want to sympathize with you for staying in darkness without light for more than one year. I want to assure you of my commitment to provide the much needed dividends of democracy to you. All what I am doing is to change on your standard of living positively,” he said
The lawmaker promised to continue to response to the yearning and aspirations of his constituents by providing more people oriented projects that will impact positively on the lives of his people.
The lawmaker appreciated the Emir of Keffi, stakeholders, party officials and members and the entire people of his constituency for supporting him to succeed and promised not to let them down.
“I am for all irrespective of party, religious or ethnicity. I am your servant and I promise to serve you equally. What I need is your prayers and support so that I can do more,” he said
Also speaking, member representing Udege/Loko constituency at the State Assembly, Hon. David Inarigu Onah Kana, commended the lawmaker for donating the transformer and executing people oriented projects in his constituency.
Also speaking, Chairman, People Democratic Party (PDP) Keffi Local Government Area, Mr Aliyu Babayo commended the member for coming to the aid of the people of Ungwan Rimi, Ungwan Eggon Keffi, Ungwan Rama and environs, who have been living in darkness for more than one year.
