BY RICHARD ABU, Nasarawa –

The Vice Chancellor, Nasarawa State University, Professor Bala Ahmed Muhammed has administered oath of matriculation to six thousand, three hundred and twenty three students at the matriculation square of the university in Keffi LGA of the state.

The occasion witnessed an influx of students, parents and well-wishers who turned out in their thousands to grace the occasion.

Professor Bala charged the matriculating students to obey the school rules and regulations, as the institution has zero tolerance for indiscipline and anti social vices such as examination practices, cultism and indecent dressing amongst others.

The VC told the students to report any act that is counter productive as management of the institution is implementing whistle blowing policy.

“Lecturers who collect illegal monies from students should be reported and will be sanctioned accordingly”, he stressed.

Earlier, the Registrar of the university, Mr. Bala Ahmed, who read out the matriculation oath on the students, advised them to read hard and avoid cheating and unwholesome acts, even as he commended parents for choosing the university out of the many tertiary institutions in the country.
