Senator Natasha arrives at the National National on Tuesday
Suspended Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, representing Kogi Central, arrived at the National Assembly Complex on Tuesday to resume legislative duties, accompanied by supporters including prominent activist Aisha Yesufu.
However, security personnel barred her from entering the main building, as reported by the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
Akpoti-Uduaghan, who had vowed to return to her senatorial duties, reached the complex at 12:20 p.m., defying her ongoing suspension.

Enhanced security measures, including personnel from the Nigeria Police, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Department of State Services (DSS), and Sergeant-at-Arms, were deployed at the main gate, leading to long vehicle queues as operatives conducted thorough checks to prevent her entry.
The Senate, through its spokesperson, Sen. Yemi Adaramodu, reiterated on Sunday that no court order mandates Akpoti-Uduaghan’s recall before her suspension expires.
“The senator’s claim to resume is
based on a misinterpretation of Justice Binta Nyako’s recent ruling at the Federal High Court, Abuja,” Adaramodu stated.
“The Senate has reaffirmed, for the third time, that her suspension stands.”
