NCC holds Cyber security conference in Abuja today

NCC revises determination USSD pricing

The annual Cyber Security Conference, organised by the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), is about to start in Abuja.

This year’s conference, holding at the Transcorp Hilton, has as it’s theme: “Strengthening the Security and Resilience of the Nation’s Communications Infrastructure.”

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo is slated to give a keynote address, with the Minister of Communications & Digital Economy, Dr. Isa Pantami; Deputy Commissioner of Police (Interpol), Uche Ifeanyi and NCC’s Executive Commissioner (Technical Standards), Engr. U. A. S. Maska, billed to make presentations.

Among the key topics to be treated during the plenary session are: Developing a joint coordination for Incidence Response for Communications Industry; Developing Cyber Insurance products streams: barriers and incentives and; Regulating Cyber Security Service provision.

Also to be treated in the plenary session is the topic, “Bridging the Cyber workforce Gap,” with Engr Abraham Oshadami as Moderator, while Zachariah Akinpelu of First Bank, Dr. Mbanaso Uche of Nasarawa State University Keffi, Tunji Igbalajobi of Cyber odw and Rec Abitogun of Nigerian Customs Service, as panelists.

Already, the Congress Hall of Transcorp Hilton is filled to capacity, with the Executive Vice-Chairman/CEO of the NCC, Prof U.G.N. Danbatta, leading other top management staff of the telecoms regulatory agency as all await the arrival of special guests of honour.
